Credits
Some features cost us money each time they run: X bills every post made through its API, and AI features run paid models. These are paid with credits. There is a single credit balance for all of them.
What costs credits

Everything else (publishing to the other networks, scheduling, analytics…) does not use credits.
A video is transcribed and billed once. Generating its texts and then its animated subtitles reuses the same transcript: the second feature shows as already transcribed and costs nothing. Rendering the subtitles into the video is always included, and so are texts generated afterwards on the subtitled video. A video with no speech is not billed.
What your plan includes
Each plan includes a monthly allowance, used before your purchased credits:

Allowances reset on the 1st of each month (UTC) and do not roll over.
Credit packs
Beyond the allowance, credits come from packs of 250, 1,000 or 5,000 credits, bought on the Plans page (prices shown there in your currency; bigger packs cost less per credit).
Purchased credits never expire and work for both X and AI. A refunded pack takes back its share of credits.
Good to know
- The cost is shown before you spend: the AI buttons display the minutes a video will use and what you have left, and ask for confirmation.
- Failures are refunded: a post that fails to publish, or a transcription that fails, gives its credits back.
- Teams: in a team workspace, the allowance and the credits of the workspace owner’s plan are used, not the member’s.
- Running out: an X post with no credits left fails with
Not enough credits; retry it once credits are added. The X inbox pauses until credits are back. AI buttons offer to buy credits. - Balance from the API:
