Catch Up Missing Posts
You posted on Instagram for months, then connected TikTok and YouTube: the catch-up republishes on the new accounts the posts they are missing, a few per day, oldest first.
How to use it
- Accounts page → menu ⋮ of the account that has the posts → Catch up missing posts.
- Check the accounts to fill in and the period (30 days to all time).
- The app lists the posts missing on those accounts. Uncheck the ones you don’t want.
- Choose how many posts per day. For TikTok, choose who can see them.
- Schedule: the files are copied, then each post is scheduled. The posts show up in the Calendar, where you can still edit or cancel them.
Which accounts
| Platforms | |
|---|---|
| Source (has the posts) | Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky |
| Target (gets them) | Every connected platform except Pinterest |
TikTok and YouTube can’t be a source: their API doesn’t give back the file of a published video. Pinterest can’t be a target yet: it needs a board for each account.
What can be caught up
| Source | Caught up | Not caught up |
|---|---|---|
| Reels and videos, photos, carousels (every image or video, in order) | Stories (gone after 24 h, not in the stats) | |
| Facebook (Page) | Videos and Reels, photos, photo albums, text posts | Shared links (only the text is copied), stories |
| Threads | Text posts, photos, videos, carousels | — |
| Bluesky | Text posts, images (up to 4), videos | Link cards and quoted posts (only your text is copied) |
The caption is copied as written on the source, hashtags included. Each file is copied once to your storage, at most 200 MB per file.
What each target accepts still applies: a text post can only go to networks that publish text (X, Threads, Bluesky, LinkedIn, Facebook); a photo can’t go to YouTube; a carousel with more files than the target accepts (X: 4, Bluesky: 4…) is refused there.
How a post counts as “already there”
A post is not offered for an account when:
- it was published on that account from the app, or
- that account already has a post with a close caption (most words in common, ignoring hashtags and links), or
- a previous catch-up already sent it there (unless that post was deleted or failed: then it is offered again).
Posts published straight from the platforms’ apps are compared by caption only: one without a caption, or rewritten, is offered. Uncheck it in the list.
Good to know
- Pace: posts are spread evenly, N per day (1 to 24) starting now, oldest first. Scheduling is limited to 6 months ahead: post more per day, or fewer posts.
- Size: one search lists at most 300 posts of the period, one catch-up schedules at most 100 of them. For more, run it again: what was sent is not offered twice.
- Pending posts: every scheduled copy counts toward your pending uploads until it goes out (50 by default, see your plan). A catch-up that would go over is refused: pick fewer posts or accounts. One catch-up at a time per source account.
- Licensed music: Instagram and Threads don’t give back the file of a Reel with music from their library. Such a post is listed as refused instead of going out without its video.
- Bluesky: only your own posts are offered, not your replies or reposts.
- Same rules as any post: plan limits, daily caps of each network, caption length, required formats. A post a network refuses (a photo for YouTube, a caption too long for X or Bluesky…) is listed at the end with the reason; the other networks still get it.
- X: each post uses credits.
- YouTube gets the first line of the caption as its title.
- The list comes from the stats, synced every night: a post published today shows up after the next sync.
- Runs in the background: you can close the window; the posts appear in the Calendar as they are scheduled. A post whose file can no longer be fetched (deleted on the source, expired token) is listed as refused with the reason.
- Reconnect an account whose token expired before catching it up: its files can’t be fetched otherwise.
